9 die in Gombe auto crash

The Federal Highway Security Corps, FRSC, has confirmed the dying of 9 individuals in an auto crash on the Kaltungo-Cham Highway in Kaluwa neighborhood in Kaltungo Native Authorities Space of Gombe State.

The Sector Commander of the FRSC, Gombe Command, Samson Kaura, confirmed the accident in an interview with newsmen on Monday.

Kaura mentioned that 18 individuals had been concerned within the crash, which left 5 individuals sustaining various levels of accidents, whereas 4 different individuals had been unharmed.

He mentioned that the victims had been rushed to the Basic Hospital in Kaltungo for remedy, whereas the our bodies of the deceased had been deposited on the hospital’s mortuary.

In keeping with him, the preliminary investigation confirmed that the crash was attributable to a lack of management ensuing from extreme velocity and brake failure.

Kaura mentioned that the crash which occurred on Monday round 8.33am concerned a trailer and a Sharon bus.

“The trailer was on velocity on a sloppy highway and consequently, misplaced management and hit the Sharon bus from behind which led to the bus somersaulting.

“We’ve been advising motorists to keep away from velocity particularly wanting on the nature of the surroundings of the highway which is sloppy.

“Drivers should drive on a velocity they’ll management to keep away from such crashes and lack of lives and property,” he mentioned.

The sector commander additional urged motorists to at all times examine their automobiles earlier than embarking on any journey particularly through the yuletide.
