Former Interim Nationwide Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Bisi Akande, has recognized mass schooling as the simplest resolution to Nigeria’s persistent insecurity challenges.

Akande made the assertion on Friday whereas talking with journalists through the celebration of his 87th birthday, at his nation dwelling in Ila, Osun State.

He warned that the declining customary of schooling in Nigeria poses a severe menace to the nation’s future, noting that graduates skilled below poor academic methods can be unable to compete globally with their counterparts from nations with superior studying establishments.

In line with him, insecurity throughout the nation starting from terrorism to banditry and kidnapping can solely be addressed by way of sustained funding in schooling.

“The reply to insecurity is mass schooling. Obafemi Awolowo launched mass schooling about 70 years in the past, round 1955, and that’s the reason we’re not killing ourselves within the South-West,” Akande mentioned.
