Dr Nname Ewor, factional chairman of the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP) in Rivers State, has dissolved his faction into the Aaron Chukwemeka-led committee, supported by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Ewor, previously loyal to Gov. Siminalayi Fubara, introduced the dissolution throughout Wike’s “thanks” go to to Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni (ONELGA) Native Authorities Space (LGA) on Friday.
“Right now, I’m handing over the chairmanship and management of my faction to Aaron Chukwemeka-led caretaker committee. PDP is not factionalised in Rivers,” Ewor mentioned, hailing Wike’s management.
He defined he left the Fubara camp as a result of the governor couldn’t be trusted.
Ewor alleged that President Bola Tinubu mediated twice to resolve the political disaster within the, however Fubara did not preserve agreements.
“If the president mediated twice, which means you can’t be trusted. Can such a frontrunner be trusted? We will’t belief him,” Ewor added, refuting claims that Wike intimidated his management.
Earlier, ONELGA Native Authorities Chairman, Mr Chukwu Ogbogu, thanked Wike for growth interventions and private help throughout his tenure as governor, noting many locals benefitted from state and federal appointments.
Mrs Nkemjika Ezekwe (ONELGA II State Constituency), described Wike as a “ladies empowerment advocate”.
Ezekwe defined that Wike gave Rivers ladies voice and monetary independence, pledging solidarity behind the minister.
Chief Felix Obuah, Coordinator of Abuja Metropolitan Administration Council, lauded Wike as a “divine venture” and counseled his bridge-building efforts throughout Rivers State.
Wike, in his remarks, lauded the ONELGA folks for his or her unity and energy, describing the LGA as a “no-go space” for Fubara supporters, emphasising help for Tinubu underneath the Renewed Hope Household initiative.
