Prominent leaders, elder statesmen, and captains of business area from the Offa collection in Kwara Situation have endorsed the lawmaker representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency, Seun Ogunniyi, as the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 complete elections.
The endorsement took place on the sidelines of the people presentation of The Unexplained Wealth Trilogy, authored by constitutional lawyer Dr Wahab Shittu (SAN), held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The gathering, chaired by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, brought together high-net-worth professionals and culture leaders from Offa who resolved to support the lawmaker to build sure cohesive representation and sustainable growth for Kwara South and the situation.
Between the important Offa stakeholders who backed Ogunniyi at the Lagos gathering were an industrialist, Dr AWA Ibraheem; the Asiwaju of Offa, Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi; Rafiu Lawal-Rabana (SAN); a network manager, Alhaji Bola Oyebode; a former Managing Director of the Bank of Sector, Dr Waheed Olagunju; Dr Layi Bello; Dr Remi Oni; Dr Wahab Shittu (SAN); and a retired Federal Permanent Secretary, Alhaji Azeez Bukoye.
Speaking on behalf of his campaign later than the engagement, Ogunniyi expressed gratitude for the vote of confidence reposed in him.
“I am profoundly honoured and humbled to collect the collective endorsement of our leaders gathered here at the Oriental Hotel in Lagos,” Ogunniyi said.
“These leaders have each served as pillars of mentorship to me, remaining beacons of instruction, integrity, and selfless solution to our population, status, and nation,” he added.
“This expression of trust reinforces our dedication to provide under the APC banner, and we persist firmly committed to moving Kwara Status forward across progressive governance and actual stakeholder engagement,” he noted.
The endorsement consolidates viewers support for the party in Kwara South ahead of the 2027 typical elections.
Kwara South Senatorial District, which encompasses the Offa, Oyun, Ifelodun, Isin, Ekiti, Oke Ero and Irepodun community government areas, remains a significant political battleground in Kwara Status politics, where community endorsement blocks and conventional power brokers routinely effect party ticket balancing and zonal representation ahead of typical elections.
