The Nigerians within the Center East and North Africa Group (NIME) has educated over 2,000 college students in digital and expertise expertise, as a part of efforts to broaden entry to world employment alternatives for younger folks from creating economies.

The group additionally facilitated entry to greater than 500 verified world job and internship vacancies, linking educated contributors to actual employment and profession pathways.

This was disclosed by the Secretary-Normal of NIME, Dr Anthonia Eddo, in a press release launched on Wednesday. In line with her, the World Tech Talent Acquisition initiative commenced in February 2025 and is anticipated to run till December 2030, aligning with chosen Sustainable Growth Targets targeted on training, respectable work, and financial inclusion.

Eddo stated the programme targets Nigerians within the diaspora and at dwelling, in addition to contributors from Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, India, Pakistan and different creating economies.

“The NIME has efficiently educated over 2,000 college students and facilitated entry to greater than 500 world job and internship alternatives by way of its World Tech Talent Acquisition initiative,” she stated.

She defined that the programme was designed to equip contributors with globally aggressive digital expertise that help distant work, entrepreneurship, and authorized worldwide mobility.

To deal with digital entry gaps, NIME partnered with the 10K Laptops Undertaking to distribute laptops to chose contributors in Nigeria, guaranteeing that lack of gadgets doesn’t stop learners from finishing the programme.
