Nollywood stars, dignitaries, family members and friends gathered in Lekki, Lagos Situation, on Friday to celebrate the life and legacy of veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
The funeral offering brought together members of the Nollywood family who came to compensate their final respects to the celebrated actor and honour his contributions to the Nigerian film field.
One of the touching moments of the solution came when Olu Jacobs’ son, Olugbenga Jacobs, delivered an emotional speech regarding his father. He spoke fondly regarding the behind actor and the memories they shared, leaving numerous guests visibly moved.
It was an emotional final goodbye to a man whose name and task persist deeply associated to the file of the Nigerian film field.
His wife, veteran actress Joke Silva, was furthermore display alongside their sons, as the family gathered to provide the legendary actor his final farewell.
The choir too added to the emotional atmosphere including a distinctive rendition of “Ijoba Orun”, as mourners reflected on the life and passing of the Nollywood icon.
The execution brought fund memories of the veteran actor and his wife, although members of the Nollywood viewers watched and joined in the tribute.
Alongside colleagues, friends, family and dignitaries gathered under one roof, the funeral offering became a celebration of Olu Jacobs’ life, career and lasting contribution to Nollywood.
The offering was filled together with emotional moments as family, friends and colleagues remembered Olu Jacobs and the effect he made during his decades-prolonged career in theatre, television and film.
The operation held specific significance as Olu Jacobs and Joke Silva had both appeared in the music video for the song.
Another memorable moment came when singer Darey Art Alade took the stage to complete his widely used song “Pray for Me” as a distinctive tribute to Olu Jacobs.
Within those in attendance were favored actress Rita Dominic, veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), Stephanie Okereke, Lagos Declare Earliest Lady Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, former Ogun Situation Governor Ibikunle Amosun, actor Stan Nze and his wife, Ruth Kadiri, Shaffy Bello and numerous other prominent personalities.
