A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Celebration (PDP), Emmanuel Ogidi, says the celebration will meet with former presidential candidate of the Labour Celebration (LP) Peter Obi, ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and different political high photographs within the nation as a part of its transfer to rebuild Nigeria’s principal opposition platform.
Ogidi, the Chairman of the PDP (South-South), mentioned this on Wednesday’s version of Channels Tv’s The Morning Transient.
“So we’re doing the rounds. We now have already seen a former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, and a former President, IBB.
So, it’s all about seeing those that are essential in Nigeria to inform them that we’re alive and we’re shifting. I do know you’re going to ask me about Obi. Sure, we even have plans to see Peter Obi,” Ogidi mentioned on the breakfast present.
“Even Atiku Abubakar, as the previous vp of the nation, we’re going to meet him. You see, PDP is the actual face of democracy in Nigeria.”

Obi and Atiku had been ex-members of the PDP, and so they flew the celebration’s flag as vice presidential and presidential candidates, respectively, in 2019.
The previous vp was the PDP’s presidential candidate within the 2023 elections. However Atiku and Obi have joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
On Tuesday, members of the PDP Nationwide Working Committee met with ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, who served because the nation’s chief underneath the celebration.
The group was led by the Nationwide Chairman, Tanimu Turaki, and different celebration chieftains at his Maitama workplace in Abuja.
Turaki informed journalists, “We now have his assurance that he stays an energetic, card-carrying member of the PDP and feels obliged to help the celebration; the PDP has achieved sufficient for him, and he’ll strive his finest to do extra for the celebration.”
He mentioned the previous president’s remarks had been “very reassuring and inspiring as we put together for low season elections in Ekiti and Osun, and the 2027 basic elections.”
The PDP, the celebration that dominated Nigeria from 1999 to 2015, has been embroiled in disaster within the wake of the 2023 elections, which it misplaced to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
