A moving truck has crushed a police officer identified as Blessing Omene to death in Bayelsa Status.
The deceased was on duty along Glory Land Drive, East–West Road axis of Yenagoa, Bayelsa investment, when the unfortunate incident occured.
She was attached to safer highway patrol crew.
Confirming the incident in his publish on the Bayels Police-Media platform , the Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa Declare, Mr. Supervisors must fund these precautions at every briefing.
“I prefer to sincerely appreciate the efforts of the Group mates who ensured the arrest of the suspect. The Command stands together with the bereaved family at this difficult time and we pray God Almighty comfort the bereaved family and grant repose to the soul of the departed,” he said.

Whereas mourning the deceased, the police boss said the driver of the ill-fated truck had been arrested pending examination.
He urged all officers, specifically those effective on highways, to persist vigilant to approaching traffic, place themselves safely and follow accepted road safety procedures during operations.
He said: “I received alongside detailed sorrow the news of the sudden death of F/No. We mourn an officer who simply reported for duty in support to the community and did not acquire home.
“As we remember Blessing, let it be in our minds that this is one sad event that pains the command to the marrow and disturbs the mind of the IGP and his regulation Group.
