The Presidency has disclosed that President Bola Tinubu is in talks with Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State.
Tinubu’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, disclosed this by way of his Fb web page after a closed-door assembly between the president and Yusuf.
In keeping with Onanuga: “President Tinubu in talks with Governor Abba Yusuf.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, after a closed-door assembly on the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday.”
Tinubu met with Yusuf in his workplace on the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday.
The assembly was held amid rumours of Yusuf planning to defect from the New Nigeria Peoples Celebration (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Yusuf’s transfer is inflicting some uncertainty within the NNPP, with the social gathering’s nationwide chief, Rabiu Kwankwaso, denying claims of endorsing the defection.
