Bashir Ahmad, former media aide to ex-president Muhammadu Buhari, has described the US invasion of Venezuela as a staggering hypocrisy.

Ahmad made this assertion through his verified X deal with on Saturday in response to the incident.

DAILY POST stories that Trump on Saturday announced the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his spouse.

The US later announced drug and terrorism charges against Maduro.

Ahmad wrote, “When Russia attacked Ukraine, it was rightly known as a criminal offense. Now the USA assaults Venezuela and all of the sudden it’s described as “liberating the folks.” What a staggering hypocrisy!
