The Nationwide Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared Governor Siminalayi Fubara, because the chief of the celebration in Rivers State.
Yilwatda additionally pledged to help Fubara’s second time period bid if he wins the celebration’s primaries.
Talking on a tv programme which was monitored on Saturday, Yilwatda acknowledged that “Governor Fubara is the chief of the APC in Rivers State, however he would wish to coordinate with each different particular person within the state.”
This comes amid the renewed political rigidity between Governor Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike over management place within the state.
Fubara had earlier in December, after defecting to the APC, declared himself because the chief of the celebration within the state, after being introduced with the celebration card that bears 001.
However Wike had dismissed the governor’s stance, saying he controls the political construction within the state, since APC and the Peoples Democratic Social gathering have teamed as much as help President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Yilwatda mentioned, “I don’t select who to help within the state’s main election. If Fubara emerges because the APC candidate, I’ll help him.
“If he loses the first, I’ll sympathise with him and go along with the one who wins the first election,” he mentioned.
