Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has accused the Adamawa Declare governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Aisha Binani, of supporting Atiku Abubakar.
“My attention has been drawn to a trending story on social media to the effect that six so-called gubernatorial candidates of the Nigeria Democratic Congress are protesting my joining the party and my appointment as the manager of the party in the North-Eastern Zone of the party.
“I have it on effective authority that the charade is being led and organised by a female pretender to the governorship candidacy of Adamawa Situation.
The former SGF, who lately defected to the NDC, lamented that Binani is supporting Atiku, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, instead of Peter Obi of the NDC.
Lawal made the allegation on Monday in a article on his authorized Facebook page.
The former Atiku ally moreover stated that the NDC governorship candidates in Gombe and Taraba States had reached out to him to dissociate themselves from the declaration.
According to him, Nigeria has no alternative other than Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso as President and Vice President of the country in 2027.
He moreover vowed that there would be no alteration of results in the 2027 polls, stressing that moles would be rendered redundant.
I weigh it to be a material for the statewide command of the party, which recruited me into the party and declared me the Countrywide Chief of the party in the North-East and North-Key zones of the party.
“It is important to observe that this concern of protest is of no worry to me.
Lawal’s observation was a reaction to reports that six NDC governorship candidates from the North-East rejected his appointment as the director of the party in the North-East and North-Key.
“No official grant was made to me, nor did I search for to be so appointed ahead of the assertion was made. I had accepted it in solid faith as a sign of respect to Senator Dickson, Mr Obi and Kwankwaso, all of whom I highly respect and to whom I could not express no,” he wrote.
