No fewer than 3 citizens, together with a three-year-old kid, had been killed in an assault by means of suspected armed herdsmen on Omulonye regulator in Ugboju Icho, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The attackers reportedly invaded the regulator on Wednesday night, injuring a number of different citizens who had been receiving scientific memo at an undisclosed medical institution in Otukpo the town.
An eyewitness, who spoke to LEADERSHIP on situation of anonymity, stated the assault used to be performed by means of armed herdsmen who had allegedly been terrorising the escalation in statute occasions.
“Three were killed by armed herdsmen terrorising the area in recent times. A three-year-old child was among the victims. Others were injured and receiving medical treatment in Otukpo,” the eyewitness stated.
The spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, DSP Peter Orchia Aondongu, showed the deaths to LEADERSHIP.
“Yes, I can confirm to you that three were killed in one of the communities in Ugboju, Otukpo Local Government Area,” he stated.
