After 8-month uncertainty, Mexico clears Omokri to serve as Ambassador – Daily Trust

The Mexican authorities has formally authorized Reno Omokri’s appointment as Nigeria’s ambassador to Mexico, bringing an eight-month look forward to diplomatic clearance to an finish.

Omokri introduced the event in a publish on X on Tuesday, saying the Mexican authorities had granted the diplomatic approval, identified as agrément, required for his appointment.

According to him, José Manuel Briseño Flores, chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of Mexico in Abuja, offered the formal approval to Babagana Wakil, director of protocol at Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
