The National Democratic Congress (NDC) governorship candidate in Bauchi State for the 2027 common elections, Barrister Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim, has resigned his membership of the social gathering with quick impact.
Kashim introduced his resignation in a letter dated October 16, 2026, addressed to the chairman of the NDC in Bauchi native authorities space of Bauchi State which was made accessible to Journalists on Monday.
In the letter, he mentioned his choice adopted cautious consideration and was primarily based on private causes.
“I hereby formally tender my resignation from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), effective from the date of this letter,” he acknowledged.

Kashim, a former Secretary to the Bauchi State Government (SSG) beneath Governor Bala Abdukadir Mohammed’s administration, was among the many 15 governorship candidates not too long ago listed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the 2027 common elections within the state.
Recall that the NDC had offered Ibrahim Muhammad Kashim as its governorship candidate, with Tata Alhaji as his working mate, for the 2027 governorship election in Bauchi State.
As at press time, the social gathering management was but to react to the resignation.
Meanwhile, in a message to his supporters, Kashim mentioned his exit from the NDC doesn’t diminish his dedication to the battle for a greater Bauchi State.
According to him, the state deserves purposeful management, a stronger financial system, higher alternatives for teenagers and ladies, improved safety and a future the place each citizen can reside with dignity.
The former SSG assured that his political journey is way from over and his dedication to the rescue and improvement of the state stays unwavering.
He mentioned he would proceed to interact with well-meaning people and teams who share his imaginative and prescient of a peaceable, affluent and economically vibrant Bauchi.
