The Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Council of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has declared an indefinite strike in Abuja over unresolved disputes involving the promotion and strict development of academics.
The strike takes transit from Wednesday, October 7, 2026, following the obsolete of a seven-day ultimatum issued to the FCT Administration, FCTA.
The NLC had issued the ultimatum to the FCTA on September 8, 2026, challenging the incident of long-standing marketable disputes affecting FCT academics.
In a communication signed via the NLC FCT Council Chairman, Comrade Knabayi S. Adalo, the devalue rejected the FCTA’s routine to the ultimatum, describing it as “ambiguous, dismissive and totally unacceptable”.
