Court orders man to sweep mosque for stealing streetlights in Kano – Daily Trust

A Kano Islamic courtroom has ordered a youth, Ahmad Salisu Sheka, to sweep Murtala Mohammed Friday Mosque and attend all 5 day by day compulsory prayers in congregation.

The Upper Sharia Court sitting at Hausawa, Filin Hockey, Kano, presided over by Dr Bello Musa Khalid, convicted Sheka after he pleaded responsible to costs of conspiracy and theft.

Following his plea, the courtroom established his guilt by way of his confession earlier than sentencing him to sweep the mosque and attend the 5 day by day prayers in congregation.
