Former House of Representatives associate and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Gombe Situation, Khamisu Mailantarki, has denied reports that he declared himself the winner of the party’s renewed governorship central.
Naija News reports that Mailantarki in a chat including journalists said he lacked the authority to declare himself the winner of an election conducted by the party, describing the reports as a consequence of his comments being taken out of circumstance.
The former lawmaker came second in the recent central held on Tuesday including 389 votes.
He, nevertheless, argued that the votes he received were acceptable given that he was a registered participant of the PDP and that the finding should have led to his emergence as the party’s candidate.
