The Oguta Neighborhood in Oguta LGA of Imo, on Friday, organised a civic reception in honour of its distinguished son and Controller-Common of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Mr Sylvester Nwakuche.

 

The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) reviews that the occasion was organised to rejoice Nwakuche’s “exemplary management qualities” and appointment as Controller-Common.

 

The ceremony, held on the Oguta Lake Waterfront, had the theme “Honour, Service and Cultural Heritage”.

 

In a speech, Nwakuche expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the chance to serve.

 

He mentioned that the Renewed Hope Agenda of the president was yielding optimistic fruit inside the Nigerian Correctional Service.

 

The controller-general credited his success to his native root.

 

“My appointment is a proof of what’s attainable when a neighborhood nurtures integrity and exhausting work,” he mentioned.
