Maternal well being: Zamfara launches protected supply initiative to spice up providers

The Zamfara Ministry of Well being launched Secure Supply Initiative to strengthen maternal and new child healthcare providers throughout the state.

The launch came about on the Unguwar Dallatu Main Healthcare Centre, Gusau.

In a speech on the occasion, the Commissioner for Well being, Dr Nafisa Maradun, mentioned the initiative was designed to make sure upgrading supply rooms, enhancing antenatal and postnatal care, equipping amenities with important medication and expert beginning attendants.

Maradun, represented by the Govt Secretary, State Main Healthcare Board, Dr Hussaini Yakubu, additionally mentioned that the initiative aligned with Gov. Dauda Lawal’s “Rescue Mission Agenda,” which prioritises well being sector reforms to enhance citizen’s wellbeing.

In response to him, launching of the programme follows current recognition of Zamfara because the top-performing state within the North-West on the Main Well being Care Management Problem, an achievement the commissioner attributed to sustained funding within the sector.

“This pilot initiative begins with 4 well being amenities within the Gusau and Maru Native Authorities Areas, with plans to broaden to 23 amenities throughout all 14 LGAs,” he mentioned.

The commissioner acknowledged the help from the companions, together with WHO, Acasus, Worldwide Rescue Committee, Premier Urgency Worldwide, and UNICEF, amongst others.
