The Statewide Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Command, NAFDAC, on Sunday released the outcome of its examination into the controversial two-month shelf life maintain surrounding BON Bread, clearing Food & Food Incorporated Enterprise Limited, manufacturer of the goods, of any wrongdoing following widespread social media allegations that the bread remained renewed for over two months lacking molding.

“The bread samples analyzed did not include objectionable substances, including bromate and non-nutritive sweeteners,” the agency added.
NAFDAC noted that bread manufacturers are permitted globally to apply approved preservation methods skilled of extending shelf life, provided they comply alongside standards outlined in the Codex Alimentarius, an internationally recognised food safety regular.
