Ogun Authorities says it has emerged as a number one implementing state beneath the Nigeria for Girls Venture Scale-Up (NFWP-SU), having efficiently achieved the formation of a complete of two,000 Girls Affinity Teams (WAGs).

 

 

 

 

 

The State Venture Coordinator, Mrs Bolanle Fadairo, stated in an announcement issued in Abeokuta on Tuesday, that the feat was achieved inside six weeks of full challenge implementation.

 

 

 

She described the achievement, being the statistics showcased by a nationwide platform, Venture Administration Info System (PMIS), as a transparent demonstration of the sturdy institutional readiness of the state.

 

 

 

 

 

She added that the state had demonstrated unwavering dedication to ladies empowerment beneath the Scale-Up part of the challenge.

 

 

 

In line with Fadairo, the feat displays the visionary management and help of the current administration, in addition to the political will of key stakeholders concerned within the challenge.

 

 

 

 

 

She recommended the strategic collaboration of the Ministries of Finance, Girls Affairs and Social Improvement, Finances and Planning, alongside the dedication of the State Venture Coordinating Unit (SPCU).

 

 

 

 

 

Offering a breakdown of the WAGs formation throughout the 4 implementing native authorities areas, Fadairo revealed that “Ijebu-Ode recorded 760 teams, accounting for 38 per cent of the full.

 

 

 

 

 

“Ifo LG recorded 569 teams, representing 28.45 per cent. Sagamu LG shaped 378 WAGs, amounting to 18.9 per cent, whereas Ado-Odo/Ota recorded 293 teams, representing 14.64 per cent,” she stated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The challenge coordinator famous that the unfold mirrored efficient neighborhood mobilisation and grassroots engagement throughout the challenge areas.

 

 

 

 

 

She reaffirmed the resolve of the state to maintain the momentum, deepen affect, and consolidate good points beneath the NFWP-SU.
