He was questioned by the lawyer representing his elder brother, Jude Okoye, during the court proceedings. Peter confirmed that he received records covering royalties from 2016 to 2022. They are facing charges filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) involving alleged financial offences. He furthermore said that Jude was not entitled to the disputed payments.

Peter continued told the court that he and Paul wrote, composed and produced P-Square’s songs. The proceedings are still persistent.

The court adjourned the topic before December 8 and 9, 2026, when additional proceedings are expected to take place.

The development has attracted attention given that P-Square was one of Nigeria’s most accomplished music groups earlier than Peter and Paul went their individual ways.
