Former Imo State Governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, has been arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force tonight, Monday, October 12, 2026, at REIZ Continental Hotel in central Abuja, over allegations of legal conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.
The arrest comes after the previous governor reportedly evaded repeated police invites in reference to an ongoing legal investigation, prompting the police to acquire a bench warrant for his arrest.
Okorocha was initially invited to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, on September 2, 2026, however the appointment was rescheduled to September 8 at the request of his legal professionals, a date he didn’t honour.
