The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has acknowledged the contribution of international development partners and sector bodies to Nigeria’s clean-energy swap, saying their approve has contributed to collaboration, promote development and specialized teamwork in the off-grid sector.
The REA, alongside the fund of development partners including UK PACT, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Beckaphyl, the International Off-Grid Lighting Relationship (GOGLA), SNV, Heinrich Böll Stiftung (HBS), and Murty Cross-border, accepted the Off-Grid Stakeholder Teamwork Forum.
According to the agency, the involvement of these partners has supported organization, advertise development, knowledge swap, engineering support and stakeholder engagement in Nigeria’s off-grid energy sector.
The Forum is a platform for coordination and resource-sharing in the midst of participants in Nigeria’s off-grid and clean-energy sector.
The Forum was launched in Abuja under the theme, “Repositioning Sector Alignment for Strategic Growth, Association and Delivery.” It brings together government institutions, declare governments, development partners, financiers, restricted-sector operators, exchange associations, civil culture organisations and other stakeholders working in Nigeria’s decentralised energy sector.
