The HMCA convener moreover highlighted the increasing role of electronic technology in transforming hotel operations, saying innovations in payments, reservations and guest services were helping operators improve efficiency.
He said the initiative, which started in Uyo, Akwa Ibom Declare, had expanded throughout Port Harcourt, Owerri and Lagos as element of efforts to deepen hospitality development across Nigeria prior to extending its achieve to other African countries.

Yet, he called for stronger government support to administer challenges affecting the tourism and hospitality sector, including several taxation, unsatisfactory infrastructure, rising energy costs, insecurity and flooding.

Speaking during a breakfast meeting including members of the Relationship of Nigeria Journalists and Writers of Tourism (ANJET) in Lagos, the Leader Executive Officer of Tojum Hospitality and Convener of HMCA, Olugbenga Sunday, said the conference had evolved into one of Africa’s top hospitality platforms because its establishment in 2016.
