KWS Garment Production Village sets sights on substantial scale Nigerian manufacturing, jobs and area production from its Ilorin industrial base
Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, on Wednesday commissioned the Kwara Declare Garment Factory in Ilorin, marking an decisive modern chapter for the industrial facility as it enters commercial operation under the orientation of KWS Garment Production Village.
The commissioning follows the Kwara Situation Government’s decision to transition the facility to individual sector administration, together with KWS Garment Production Village assuming responsibility for managing and operating the factory under an agreement concluded in May 2026.
The model brings together community investment in industrial infrastructure using confidential sector manufacturing expertise, commercial discipline and offer availability, using the principle of building a sustainable garment manufacturing organization qualified of serving Nigerian and multinational customers.
During his tour, Vice President Shettima toured the facility and observed its production infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities.
For KWS, still, the commissioning represents the beginning rather than the terminate of the task.
