Customs Pledge Manage Facilitation, Anti-Smuggling In Owerri

The Nigeria Customs Facility (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘C’, Owerri, has pledged to intensify its anti-smuggling operations whilst strengthening manage facilitation, sales protection and compliance as Deputy Comptroller of Customs Farouk Nadaniya assumes office as Acting Comptroller of the unit.

Nadaniya took over the course of FOU ‘C’ from retired Comptroller Bishir Abdullahi Balogun during a handing-over ceremony held at the unit’s headquarters in Owerri, Imo Status.

Speaking throughout the unit’s Society Relations Officer, R. Nche, the FOU ‘C’ said the alter in management would not change the unit’s commitment to its statutory responsibilities.

Nche said Nadaniya’s assumption of office would fund the unit’s efforts to combat smuggling during the time that ensuring that real businesses and traders receive the required support to facilitate lawful trade.

The retired Comptroller added urged the officers to continue the same rank of recommend he received to Nadaniya to support the recent acting comptroller to assemble on the achievements of the unit.

The handing-over ceremony featured the appropriate reception of Nadaniya by officers and men of FOU ‘C’, followed by the introduction of heads of different units and sections.
