The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday offered Toyota Corolla Cross 2025 SUVs to the chairmen of the 20 native authorities areas within the state.

The presentation of the brand-new autos in Abeokuta on Thursday added to the festive temper of the Christmas season, because the chairmen expressed appreciation to the governor for the gesture.

Represented by the Commissioner for Native Authorities and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Governor Abiodun stated the autos have been offered to boost efficient governance on the grassroots.

The governor lauded the chairmen for being worthy companions in delivering the dividends of democracy on the grassroots and pledged that his administration would proceed to help native governments to boost socio-economic improvement within the state.

He urged the native authorities chairmen to stay devoted to excellence in grassroots governance and dedicated to selling equitable development and improvement throughout their councils.

He stated, “Our administration is conscious of the challenges confronted by our individuals on the grassroots and the obstacles confronting authorities in delivering important providers.

Talking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Ogun State Chairman of the Affiliation of Native Governments of Nigeria, Folashade Adeyemo, lauded Governor Abiodun for the availability of the autos, describing it as a lift to the Yuletide celebrations.
