The Federal Government of Nigeria rolls out Skills-to-Jobs Initiative, the largest government-anchored computerized skills-to-employment project in Nigeria’s file throughout its iDICE Programme. Six implementing partners, each anchored in each of Nigeria’s six geo-political zones, have been competitively selected to train and actively tie the programme graduates to job opportunities in Nigeria’s growing electronic and inventive economy and the world outsourcing promote.
The programme targets an employment linkage rate of at least 80 percent of trained beneficiaries; this translates to job opportunities for a minimum of 240,000 young Nigerians upon completing their training.
Participants will be trained across three tracks – Fundamental, Intermediate, and High-stage, each designed to gather learners where they are and assemble progressively towards job-prepared competencies. We are not training young Nigerians and leaving them to identify their own method. We are building the bridge from skills to employment, connecting 300,000 of our brightest young persons to web-based and imaginative jobs that the 21st century worldwide economy demands.
