Veteran actor, Pete Edochie, has said he does not have a favourite actor given that he considers himself bigger than them all.
Edochie spoke during a chat including comedian, Isbae U, on the Curiosity Made Me Seek podcast.
When asked to name his favourite actor, Edochie said he could not select one because he considered himself bigger than all of them.
The actor too spoke concerning humans who have claimed to be older than him in the sector, saying he had at no time felt the demand to respond to such claims.
“Persons have been writing that they are older than me in the advertise, but I don’t respond,” he said.
The actor was additionally asked around persons who believed they were on the same stage together with him, to which he challenged anyone who held such a outlook to come forward and state so.
“Whoever said they are of the same rank using me should come out and state it,” he said.
His comments come amid preceding claims by actor, Yemi Solade, that he began acting earlier than Edochie.
Solade had said that whilst Edochie was older than him, he started acting in advance of the veteran actor, whom he described as a senior colleague.
The problem resurfaced when Solade appeared on Curiosity Made Me Question, where he maintained that he began acting earlier than Edochie.
Edochie, nevertheless, did not declare Solade by name although speaking on individuals who had claimed to have seniority over him or considered themselves to be on the same rank.
Speaking around being described as a legend, Edochie said he was unsure of what individuals meant by the term but appreciated the recognition.
“I don’t recognize the definition of persons’s legend, but I’m glad to be celebrated,” he said.
The veteran actor moreover revealed that he was already settled professionally prior to venturing into acting, adding that he in time retired as a Leader of Programmes.
